The Arctic Circle

We have finally entered the Arctic Circle! However you wouldn't know it from the weather today. It was gorgeoous. The weather was warm and perfect for hiking. We docked in Leknes in the Lofiten Islands. For the morning Darren and I choose to do the Tjonndalen hike. It was a 10km hike that was amazing. Around every corner was an amazing view. We really enjoyed this outing and think it will be a highlight for us.

After a quick turn around, we left to take a tour of the Lofoten fish factory. There they make salted cod and monk fish. It was very interesting.

Then we went to a beach on Lofoten. This was an unusally warm day. There were many people on the beach! In the Arctic Circle!

Then it was back to the boat for a drink and then enjoying the views from our balcony.
